Privacy policy
Draft for legal review. Last updated 13 September 2026.
What we collect
Account email and sign-in activity; messages you send to lawyers (name, email, phone if given, message); claims and the evidence you submit; reviews and questions you post; marketing enquiries (name, email, firm, optional website, service interests, goals, and contact consent); support requests (name, email, topic, subject, message, submission time and internal handling history); and standard server logs. We do not sell personal information.
Optional Google sign-in
If you choose Google sign-in, we receive your account identifier, email and verification status, name and profile image for authentication. This does not give us access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or contacts. Your Google account does not verify a professional license or automatically publish a lawyer profile.
Lawyer profiles
Professional listing information (name, firm, practice areas, licence details) comes from public sources and from lawyers who claim their profile. If you are a lawyer and want your profile corrected or removed, use the claim or report link on the profile, or the website support form. Removal requires an identity check so that nobody can remove a colleague's profile.
Your rights
Residents of California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, and other states with privacy laws may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information. Submit a request from any profile's "report a problem" link choosing "privacy request", or use the support form and select Privacy request. Identity verification may be needed before a request can be completed.
Email and text messages
We send transactional email (sign-in links, verification codes, inquiry notifications). We send a text message only after you tick the consent box, and only for verification. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link.
