Andrea G. Farmer (Disability Law Specialist)

I am a Certified Specialist in Social Security Disability Law, a designation I earned after completing a rigorous examination and meeting all the necessary requirements. I graduated from Wofford College in 2000 with degrees in Business Economics and Government, and later earned my Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2004 as a Chancellor’s Scholar. My passion for helping those in need led me to join A. Clyde Tomblin in Spindale, North Carolina, where I initially handled a variety of cases before focusing on representing Social Security Disability claimants—individuals unable to support themselves due to unforeseen injury or illness. I am dedicated to providing my clients with personal attention and a voice throughout the often complex and backlogged disability claims process. My work is deeply rewarding as I help some of the most vulnerable individuals in our society, and I strive to bring hope and clarity during challenging times. In addition to my disability practice, I also handle probate matters and special proceedings, guiding clients through difficult times with compassion and professionalism. I take pride in working alongside my colleagues, who have become like family, and in serving on the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization for Social Security Disability Law.
